Welcome to Akokanya, as we are happy to run your events effortlessly and safely, we are excited to provide the best experience of online ticketing with E-payments and QR codes for validation with clients/customers, Please read these Terms and conditions of our Services carefully as they contain important information about your legal rights, remedies and obligations we reserve the right to change these rights at any time. Therefore we please ask you to visit this page of the site periodically. By using Akokanya Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms, as applicable to you. If you violate the conditions we are likely to take appropriate legal action against you.

Terms of use

Akokanya.com does not guarantee the accuracy of the information or the suitability of events promoted, or anything else on the site you agree that you must make your own enquires as to the accuracy of information provided on the site, including but not limited about any event promoted by an event organiser or host.

Ticket purchasers buy tickets and attend events at their own risks and Akokanya will not be liable for any personal injuries or damages or other direct or consequential loss resulting from your attendance at the event

If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain your parents or legal guardian’s prior authorisation, permission and consent to attend an event.

When you receive you’re Tickets, if it’s a hardcopy please keep them in a safe place with their QR code safe. We will not be responsible for any Tickets that are damaged, lost or stolen. Please note that direct sunlight or heat can sometimes damage physical Tickets

It is your responsibility too to check your ticket after purchasing it, mistakes cannot always be rectified

Ticket transfer

Akokanya has an extra transfer service that we offer to our clients in facilitating ways of purchasing for their friends and family tickets of different events by logging into your akokanya account and following the guidelines or instructions on how to purchase a ticket.

The purchaser should be aware of the one their purchasing a ticket for it is the purchaser’s responsibility to buy a ticket for someone they know or they trust to avoid any misuse of the ticket or queries between the purchaser and the client.

We may cancel any transferred Tickets if we have grounds to suspect that they were obtained fraudulently, unlawfully or otherwise in violation of this service, or any other provisions of this Purchase Policy or any other applicable terms and conditions.

You can cancel a Ticket Transfer invitation but only if you do so before the recipient accepts your Ticket Transfer invitation.

If an event is cancelled, rescheduled, only the original purchaser of a transferred Ticket will be entitled to any refund. We will only deal with the original purchaser of a transferred Ticket in of all matters relating to the Ticket and the event for which it is issued.

Disclaimers

Akokanya is not responsible for any interruption because there is no error free promised due to defects, to the services caused by the delays, action, and inaction of any third party and without limitation such as installers, internet service providers, telecommunication companies or service providers.

Tickets shall not be refunded back unless the event is remitted. However, if the event is cancelled after tickets were sold, the event manager will refund back tickets sold, and if an event is postponed Akokanya shall not be liable.

Complaints and queries

If we need to contact you, we will use your contact details provided at the time of purchase. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your contact details, both before and after purchasing of Tickets. In particular, please ensure that you provide us with a valid email address as this is our preferred method of contacting you. You should also be aware that your email mailbox has no problems because that’s where tickets are sent after being purchased.

If any dispute arises, we shall use our reasonable dispute settlements to consult or negotiate in good faith, and attempt to reach a just and equitable settlement satisfactory to you, us and the relevant Event manager(s).

Because we sell tickets on behalf of Event managers, we may need to contact one or more Event managers for more information before responding to your query or complaint. Please note, some complaints can take up to 25 days to resolve.

Limitation of liability

Neither we nor the relevant Event manager(s) will be liable for any loss, injury or damage to any person (including you) or property howsoever caused (including by us and/or by the Event manager/partner).

Neither we nor the relevant Event managers shall be responsible or liable to you for any loss of enjoyment, including where an event has been cancelled or rescheduled.

Neither the event manager’s nor akokanya shall be liable for any theft or any improper behaviours that happens in the events.

Neither we nor the event manager’s shall be liable for your satisfactory in the event or the implementation of the suitable adverts of the events.

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing under these terms or at the event place, where such failure or delay is due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural catastrophes, government acts/programs or omission or in any matter arising from or connected with our service.

Nothing in this Purchase Policy seeks to exclude or limit our or any Event managers' liability for death or personal injury caused by our or any Event manager’s' or team’s negligence, fraud or other type of liability which cannot by law be excluded or limited.
